American Pile and Foundation was contracted to construct deep foundations for relocation of 8 transmission line towers to support the Deepwater Substation retirement and Churchtown Substation expansion projects. The towers carry 230 and 138 kV electrical transmission lines over various terrains including environmentally sensitive areas. The project included 11 drilled and 44 vibratory caissons, ranging from 9 to 11 inches in diameter and average depths of 42 feet.
